Today as many as 44% or 22.6 million children between the ages of five and 16 are still out of school. In fact, these kids have been denied an opportunity to change their lives for good. Imagine, a fraction of them resort to crimes or extremism, how our city and country will look like. The deteriorating public school education and rising cost of private education has created another stark inequity and class difference in our society. Quality school education leading to professional studies is expensive and out of reach of even middle class let alone the poor. If poor kids don’t find decent way to get out of this menace or to earn a respectable living, we all will be vulnerable regardless of position, class or social status.
Do you commit yourself to change yet another life that promises a shiny and bright future to a poor kid? Join our team and get involved contact us and send your contributions.
Hassan Ibrahim, a philanthropist and industrialist, realized that equipping young poor kids with quality education restores hope, self-respect and create a positive experience that ultimately leads to nurturing a productive member of our society. This one-person dream turned reality in 2004, when he set-up first modest facility, the Sunshine School , in the slums of Township Lahore surrounded by the posh residences of rich businessmen. While rich local residents had turned their blind eye to brewing ugly reality, Mr. Hassan embraced poor kids and provided them with much needed love, care and quality school education. Today, a group of committed business people including Mr. Jawaid Mughal, Mr. Omar Malik and Ayesha Pervaiz are supporting this effort. We are looking for individuals and institutions who believe in themselves and committed to change the lives of others as well.
